Dates: Wednesday 11/10 – Tuesday 11/23
(December 10th for PowerPoints)

Groups: 2 students in each group
(Groups will combine for PowerPoints)

Objectives:

1.      Students will be able to identify several cultural traits of various Native American Tribes

2.      Students will be able to define the terms which are used to describe the various aspects of Native American Culture

3.      Students will be able to present their finished projects in a clear and concise manner as both an oral presentation and a completed website.

4.      Students will be able to complete their research using Infotrac, internet search engines, and primary sources

Materials:

1.      Students will need a display board for their final project

2.      Students will need access to the internet and school library

3.      Students may use the following website as a point of origin for their project.
www.marianchs.com .

Grading:

1.      The oral presentation in the library will be graded on a scale of 50 points (see the Library Presentation Rubric)

2.      The display board in the library will be graded on a scale of 25 points  (see the Display Rubric)

3.      The informational handout will be graded on a scale of 25 points  (see the Informational Handout Rubric)

4.      The 3 page papers will be graded on a scale of 50 points
(see the Written Paper Rubric)

5.      The PowerPoint will be graded on a scale of 50 points
(see the PowerPoint Rubric)
